Race Rules 50km / 100km Solo

Participants must display their assigned race bib at all time throughout the race.  Participants can only receive assistance from their support crew within the 'runner/crew pit lane'. Participants who received outside assistance (exception at the official aid station) will be served a  warning. Anyone who received a second warning will be immediately disqualified.

Participants must follow the instructions of the various course marshals at the various crossing. Any participants who disregard the instructions of the marshals will be will be served a  warning. Anyone who received a second warning will be immediately disqualified.

This is a solo event and participants registered in the 50km or 100km solo event are not permitted to swap to other runners during the race. 50km participants must complete 14 full laps (each at 3.572km) They must run across the start / finish line timing mat (located in the runners or crew lane) to be counted as one lap. Participants can rest for however long required

100km participants must complete 28 full laps (each at 3.572km) They must run across the start / finish line timing mat (located in the runners or crew lane) to be counted as one lap.

Runners who do not need assistances as they run past Race HQ, are required to run through via the 'runners lane'

Race Rules 50km / 100km Team Relay

Participants must display their assigned race bib at all time throughout the race.  Participants can only receive assistance from their support crew within the 'runner/crew pit lane'. Team change over can ONLY take place within the crew pit lane (Before the timing mat). Runners must hand over the 'relay baton' within the defined area. Please refer to 'Runners Guide' (To be released on 15th July 2015)

50km team relay (Pair) 
Each team relay runner must run a minimum of 1 lap (3.572km) with no maximum distance. The change-over can happen at any lap and runners do not need to run equal distance. The team will qualify to have finished their race when they complete their total number of required laps.     (14 laps) 

 100km Team Relay, Team of 2, 3 or 4 participants.
Each team relay runner must run a minimum of 1 lap (3.572km) with no maximum distance. The change-over can happen at any lap and runners do not need to run equal distance. The team will qualify to have finished their race when they complete their total number of required laps.    (28 laps)

 

Support / Support crew

There will be an array of food and drinks ranging from Tailwind Nutrition, Nutella sandwiches, Coca-Cola, fruit cakes, fruits, lollies and many more. If you do have a dietary requirement we advise you to bring your own sustenance. There will be first-aid / paramedic available on-site to assist you with any medical issues. 

Participants, regardless solo or relay team, do not need support crew for this event. However we very much welcome you to bring them along to support or cheer you on. We encourage you to bring your own pop-up tent, tables, chairs or own picnic rug. This year we have a defined area for participants to set up. If you are from a running group, club or a company and would like to bring you pop up tent as some form of shelter, we would welcome you to bring them. Please do drop us an email on the type and size (info@buzzeventsandco.com.au), stating your name/team as a reference.

Refund Policy

Pre-registered entry fee refunds will not be made if the participant is unable to attend on race day.  Participants can transfer their pre-registered entry to another runner/team - these requests must be made at least 7 days before the event. Any transfer made will incur a $10 administrative charge. Alternatively, they can request to have their entry deferred to the following year.

In the event that the event course is, in the opinion of the event organisers, unsafe (for example by reason of heavy rain, high winds, bushfires, "acts of god"), organisers may, in their sole discretion, attempt to re-route the course, find an alternative shortened course or cancel the event. The organiser, Buzz Events & Co.reserve the right to alter the course without notice and/or cancel the event in consultation with, and under the direction of, emergency services agencies and major event stakeholders or landowners. In the unlikely circumstance that the event is cancelled for reasons outside of our control, we will be unable to offer a refund of your entry fee.
